Traditionally, a syphon is a device used to take water from one place to another.
Syphon Interactive's intention is to develop original, entertaining games and
useful applications that bring people from all over the Internet to its
creations on a repeat basis. Why? We believe that so many companies are
under-utilizing the Internet's opportunity to bring people together... and we
want to do something about it. Anyone can put up a company's brochure and hope
that the demographic they wish to capture arrives to read their message. As we
all know, this doesn't happen.
Look at the Internet at any given moment of the day...there are thousands of
people conversing in chat rooms, posting to message boards, or sending e-mail.
These people represent all walks of life -- college students, musicians,
investors, teenagers, business owners, sports fans, educators, and so forth and
so on. While they may all appear differently on paper, all use the Internet for
the same two reasons -- for communication and for research, in one form or
another. We intend to bring those people together for another purpose... we
intend to bring them together for fun.
We've syphoned people from all over to our past creations and we intend to keep
right on going. It's what we do best.
